Bad news for Barcelona. Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo will be out for between three and four weeks with a hamstring problem.
According to a statement from Barça, Arthur underwent tests on Friday which confirmed the severity of his problem ahead of a decisive month for the Catalan club.
Arthur will miss La Liga games against Athletic Club, Real Valladolid and Sevilla, as well as the Champions League game against Lyon.
He will also miss the Copa del Rey semifinal second leg against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. It will be tough for him to make the league against Madrid, in the same venue, three days later.
Being realistic, it's most likely Arthur will be back for the game against Rayo Vallecano on March 10 (La Liga) and the Champions League game against Lyon (second leg, March 13).
Barça coach Ernesto Valverde has been left without one of his key midfielders. Along with Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic, he's played the most minutes in the middle of the pitch.
In his absence, Arturo Vidal can play more, while there may also be more minutes for Carles Aleña.
