That bid - €20m plus the loan of Juan Miranda - is as high as Barcelona are willing to go for the young left back

Barça have decided to make a take-it-or-leave-it offer for Junior Firpo. Real Betis are determined to extract the maximum amount possible but there will be no further negotiations beyond this point. Barça's final offer is €20m plus the loan of Juan Miranda.

The ball is now in Betis' court. If they turn this offer down, Barça will instead begin negotiations with Ausburg for Philipp Max.

Junior has a buyout clause of €60m and Betis originally demanded a fee close to that. The price then dropped to €35m. Barça felt even that revised sum was too much for a player who would originally only be used as a backup to Jordi Alba.

If there isn't significant progress in the next few days, Barça will move on to Max. The left-back would also cost around €20m but is wanted by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
