Barça are working especially hard on moving on Jean Clair Todibo and Philippe Coutinho. It's not been ruled out that the latter could move to the Premier League, with the Catalans open to accepting 70 million euros for their record signing, although everything suggests the interested clubs want a loan. The hour of truth is upon us.

A deal for Todibo seems the easier option at the moment. Barça have a loose agreement with Everton but the player is waiting for a better offer. The English club won't budge from their first proposal: 20 million euros plus five more in add-ons. Barça wanted 25 million fixed, but seem unable to get it.

They have waited for another Premier League side, or Roma, who are also interested, but it has not arrived.

Todibo has always prioritised staying at Barça or moving to the Premier League. He would double his salary with Everton once his loan with Schalke expires. However, his recent performances have not helped. He has struggled for form since the German league restarted.

The big doubts centre on Coutinho. Barça have known for a while Bayern Munich would not execute an option to make his loan move permanent. They have been looking for a buyer since February and there were options but the coronavirus pandemic halted everything.

Barça wanted 90 million at first. In theory, the interested clubs are Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle, but it seems unlikely any will sign him permanently. The Blaugrana are even ready to accept 70 million or a swap deal. But now the English clubs are keener on a loan.

The problem is his large wage. Bayern agreed to pay it but other clubs aren't as willing. Another option is to include an obligatory option to buy next summer.
