Barça heavyweights upset about dismissals of Garcia Pimienta & Alex Garcia
Several players were stunned by last week's decision to sack the duo
Barcelona's restructuring of La Masia led to the dismissal of B team coach Garcia Pimienta and scout Alex Garcia last week, decisions which have surprised many and had a negative impact on some important people at the club.
A number of the players in the first team appreciated the figures of Pimienta and Garcia, who some of them had even worked with when they were part of La Masia.
The decision to get rid of them both was unexpected, especially considering they had previously been told they would continue at the club.
News quickly spread and the players learned what had happened through the media. As in all cases, they accept that the club's decisions should be respected, but that doesn't mean they are not upset by what has happened.
However, that doesn't mean they don't also think that Bojan Sr., Garcia's likely replacement, is a good option for the club.
However, several heavyweights in the Barça dressing room had a special link with Garcia and Pimienta. Not just personally, but professionally, too.
