The Blaugrana may have lost the Clasico but they're still right in the title race

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has sent a rallying call to supporters after the setback of Saturday's 2-1 Clasico defeat to Real Madrid.

First half goals from Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos helped Madrid leapfrog Barça into second place in the table, one point behind Atletico Madrid, who drew at Real Betis on Sunday.

All three teams are separated by just two points with eight games to go in the league this season.

"Difficult night," Ter Stegen posted on social media. "However, the league is not over by this result. Many matches to go and we will fight until the end.

"Now we must focus on the Copa del Rey final (on Saturday vs. Athletic Club), a big moment for us and our fans. Força Barça."

If Barça beat Athletic, they can then focus on a domestic double. They still host Atletico at Camp Nou, so it's in their own hands whether or not they finish above the Rojiblanco.

However, they need Madrid to slip up if they are to win the league. Madrid have played Barça and Atletico twice and, in the event they finish level on points with either, they have the superior head-to-head record in both cases.
