The company Tencent have partnered with Barça to help supply sanitary material

Barcelona continue to help where they can in the fight against coronavirus. The club, through their foundation, have reached an agreement with the Chinese company Tencent, in collaboration with the Tencent Charity Foundation, to donate sanitary material, with a first delivery of personal protection equipment (PPE) to be distributed across different hospitals and medical centres in Catalonia.

This same company has already launched a Global Anti-Pandemic Fund endowed with 100 million dollars with the same objective of helping to stop the spread of Covid-19. This donation will be used to deliver basic and vital health supplies, including protective materials and other products for hospitals and health personnel. In the agreement between the company and the club, Barça's Foundation will be in charge of the management and distribution of part of this material in Catalonia.

In the future, this donation will increase. This first shipment, that arrived on Sunday, will be distributed in the coming days.

Other companies that have collaborated in making the arrival of the material possible are the company Miniclip, one of Tencent's companies, and the Catalan logistics company Serveto, linked to FC Barcelona since 2013 as a partner of the club's professional sports teams. All the companies have collaborated in an altruistic way, together with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Spain, who have offered support and advice in the management of this first shipment of material.
