Barça forward Ansu Fati offered to four Premier League clubs by Mendes

The Spain international is not getting enough playing time at Barcelona this season

Ansu Fati's future will be one of the key issues in the upcoming transfer window. A few weeks ago, SPORT reported Manchester United's interest in the player's situation and 'The Sun' insists that his agent, Jorge Mendes, is working on whether he should leave Barcelona this summer. The agent has reportedly offered Ansu to a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle.

The only evidence about Ansu at the moment is that his participation in the first team has become practically residual. The forward is not a starter and has become the last attacker in Xavi Hernandez's rotations. And in the coming months, the issue looks set to get worse with the recovery of Ousmane Dembélé and Xavi's change of system, using four midfielders in the most difficult games.

Ansu wants to stay at Barça, which is why he renewed his contract a few months ago. His dream is to succeed at Camp Nou and he wants to fight for his place, but it is also true that the ostracism is taking a toll on the player as his progression is getting stuck. It remains to be seen whether he will make the Spain squad this Friday despite his lack of playing time. He wants more minutes, but there is a lot of competition in the offensive positions of the team and he is no longer an essential player in the project.

Barça are keeping quiet about Ansu's future although they are aware of the movements of the player's entourage. Xavi Hernandez has been assuring that he is satisfied with the player and that he is being given all the confidence in the world, but the numbers are clear and he will finish the season with very limited participation.

The Blaugrana will have to sell this summer to balance the books and reduce the wage bill and the priority is to sell players who have fewer minutes. All the focus is on Ansu, although there have not yet been any serious moves to negotiate.

As the end of the season approaches, the noise with Ansu will increase and Barça will have to decide whether to sell if the player opens the door to an exit by bringing in a concrete offer. Mendes is working for this scenario to happen but the Catalan club have already made it clear that they will not be proactive in this possible exit.

It will have to be Ansu and his camp who lead this process because it would be a traumatic exit. In any case, if Barça would be open to negotiating, it would be for a huge offer that could not be refused. Mendes knows that and is clear that the only options are in the Premier League.
