Barça coach Xavi reserving Ansu Fati for the Spanish Supercopa
The forward won't return against Granada but against Real Madrid
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez confirmed Friday that Ansu Fati won't feature against Granada but will be ready to face Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercopa in Saudi Arabia.
The Barça boss said that "Ansu's OK" but admitted that he had doubts about using him this weekend: "We considered him for Granada but we prefer to wait after the last experience and a relapse."
Xavi continued: "We want Ansu to be 100 percent. Knowing that's he is almost back is great news for s. He's working hard, really ambitious and capable of making a difference.
"He's an important player, but we don't want to take any risks because we would lose him for the season. I prefer to wait until he's 100 percent, it's a physical issue."
