The Catalans are keen to fill the Camp Nou on matchdays and have started a campaign

FC Barcelona have released a video on their social networks in which coach Xavi Hernández addresses the fans directly with an open letter.

Barça's first team are enjoying a good moment after winning the Spanish Super Cup, a title they won by defeating Real Madrid (3-1) in Riyadh, and have won their last four La Liga games, hitting 50 points after a first half of the season in which they conceded just seven goals.

With the slogan 'You are Barça', FC Barcelona wanted to send a message of confidence and commitment to its socios, fans and supporters around the world, through a video with Xavi Hernández that emphasises the key role they play on match days and the great importance they have to the club. They are not only “Barca fans”, he says, but they “are Barca”.

The club's history is not only a story of success, but above all a story of persistence, overcoming and ambition, which has always counted on the support of its fans, who have stood by the team even in the most difficult moments. That is why the new campaign appeals to all those spectators who follow the team match after match and who occupy every seat in the stands of the stadium, thus emphasising that, without Culés, "Barça does not exist".

It is an emotional video, making clear a dedicated fan base is as important as a good defence or a great coach. Throughout the reading of this open letter, Xavi Hernández addresses Culés and outlines the different types of spectators - "those who sing in the concourses, those with the flags, those who get nervous when a penalty is taken and those who never miss a game”.

In addition, the first team squad has also joined the campaign, reinforcing the message to all Barça fans, the club want them to fill the stadium on match day.
