Barça are closely monitoring Aubameyang and Lacazette

Both forwards have been offered to FC Barcelona, and could leave the Emirates Stadium this summer

In his pre-match press conference ahead of this evening's game, Ronald Koeman admitted publicly that he would like to sign another striker. As SPORT reported last week, the club will only dip into the market if they receive a good fee for Danish striker Martin Braithwaite. If no such fee is forthcoming, they will not sign any more players. Barça's technical secretariat is currently drawing up a list of potential replacements for Braithwaite, and two of these players are Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gabonese and French forwards would both be keen to make a move to Camp Nou. In fact, Barça held negotiations with Aubameyang a few seasons ago, but the North London club eventually decided against his sale. The ex-Dortmund striker has two years left on his current deal, but Arsenal wouldn't be against the idea of the player leaving. According to SPORT sources, the club would be willing to consider a swap deal for their captain.

Lacazette, meanwhile, only has one year left on his contract, which means this is the club's last chance to cash in on a player who has not lived up to expectations. SPORT understands that Arsenal would also consider a swap deal involving the ex-Lyon striker. Arsenal aren't entirely satisfied with the recent performances of either player, both of whom are on high wages. Both missed the team's league opener against Brentford, in which Arsenal lost 2-0 away to newly-promoted Brentford.

Barça are monitoring the situation of both players closely, but they are aware that they would only be able to sign one of them if Braithwaite ends up leaving. FC Barcelona wouldn't be able to pay a fee for either player, so any deal would have to be in the form of a player exchange. It remains to be seen if Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta would be interested in any players in Barça's first team squad.
