Laporta made the comments in relation to the Negreira case in Monday's news conference

Joan Laporta came out on Monday to clear up all the doubts about the 'Negreira case' and took the opportunity to send a clear message to Real Madrid, who joined the case against Barcelona, something that the president of the Catalan club defined as "an unprecedented exercise of cynicism."

"Real Madrid is a club that has historically been favoured by refereeing decisions," Laporta said. "They are a club that has been considered the team of the regime.

"It is worth remembering that, for seven decades, most of the presidents of the Refereeing Committee have been ex-socios, ex-players or ex-directors of Real Madrid. For 70 years, the people in charge of justice on the pitch have been people connected to Real Madrid.

"For this club to claim that it feels wronged seems to me to be an exercise in cynicism without precedent. I trust that this trial will unmask them and put them in their place."

Laporta also addressed the issue of Florentino not attending the clásico being related to the case.

"I want to think that he was under a lot of pressure and that's why he didn't come to Camp Nou for the clásico," the Barça chief added.

"I know he was under pressure and wanted to act in a certain way. I can understand that, but I don't think it's right that they have appeared on the complaint."

Recently, Laporta himself had already lashed out at Madrid in the run-up to the match against Getafe with the supporters. He declared that it is "a club that has historically been very favoured in terms of refereeing," a phrase that he repeated on more than one occasion in the press conference held in the Auditori 1899 on Monday.
