Barça boss Koeman: There's never a quiet day on the Camp Nou bench

It's been non-stop for the Dutchman since he took over at Barcelona last month

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman will take charge of his first competitive game since being appointed as Quique Setien's replacement last month.

It's been a rocky few weeks since Koeman was appointed and he responded with a hint of irony when asked about his first game as Barça boss.

"If you ask the coaches that have been at Barça this, they would all tell you they never had a quiet day," the Dutchman said in a press conference on Saturday.

"I knew what I had to face and it's not a problem for me, it's part of my job as the coach of the most important club in the world. There are always people for and against and I hope that soon we can have a little calm to focus on our jobs."

Koeman has not yet been able to add to his squad, with the arrival of Miralem Pjanic agreed before he took charge in August.

He hinted that he would like more quality but said financial problems mean it may not be possible to get the players he would like to sign.

"The style play will be different, the system will be different and the pressing will be different," Koeman added. "As for the players, we have to wait. There are two weeks more of the window. From Oct. 5, when no more signings possible, I will respond to that question when we know what we have.

"We are looking for players to improve the team but what I want as a coach is not possible from a financial point of view. We have to understand that the economic situation is very, very difficult. But I accept that. I knew it before. If these are the players I'm left with, we're going to work really hard."
