Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay are the players the club would like to sign

Ronald Koeman says Barcelona are still working on two or three more signings but that the club's financial difficulties make it difficult to be certain about anything.

Koeman said the club would like to sign a centre-back and a striker if possible, while also talking about possible exits for Rafinha and Ousmane Dembele.

"We know club have financial limitations," Koeman said on Wednesday. "There are two or three positions we're working on. Nothing is certain at the moment. The club working hard but if no one arrives I will use the players we have because there no complaints about the players we have here."

Eric Garcia is a target in defence and Koeman admitted Barça are "weak" in that position.

He said: "In terms of centrebacks with Gerard [Pique], Lenglet and Araujo, we're a little short, for that reason we have Santi [Mingo] from Barça B to have another. We are a little weak in that position for the season ahead of us."

Further forward, he would like another No.9, although not as a replacement for Martin Braithwaite but to add depth following the sale of Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid. Lyon's Memphis Depay is the main target due to the cost of signing Inter's Lautaro Martinez.

"In principle, we want to have two, three players for each position," Koeman added. "Braithwaite can be useful. We have put Leo as a No.9 at the moment, Griezmann can play there, they're different players to Braithwaite. He's more of a No.9 so will get his chance, but we are also looking for one more in that position."

On Rafinha, Koeman said it's better that the players that "don't see themselves getting minutes, leave," but said he knows it's complicated as the midfielder cannot go out on loan year after year.

The Dutch coach also said Dembele's in his plans amid links to Manchester United but that the forward and the club will make any decisions on his future.

"This is a situation to be resolved by the club and the player," Koeman said. "As long as the player is with us, he's part of my plans. He didn't start [against Villarreal] because there are other players, too, and Ansu Fati has demonstrated that he's good enough.

"Ousmane has to wait for his chance. He was better physically in the first few weeks of preseason. He's dipped a little bit in the last week but he trained well today and I'm counting on him."
