Barca ask Ajax about goalkeeper Onana

In Holland they have revealed that Barca are after their former player

André Onana is in Barcelona's sights if Neto leaves. The Dutch newspaper Telegraaf have revealed a meeting held weeks ago between the agent of the player, Albert Botines, and the club's sporting director Marc Overmars, to discuss the player's situation. Barca wanted to know the economic terms of a potential exit and if Ajax were willing to negotiate for the Cameroon goalkeeper.

Ajax were open to speak but wanted 40 million euros, a number Barcelona are not willing to reach. Neither Barca nor other clubs like Chelsea or PSG. Ajax tried to commence negotiations for a contract renewal but everyone is taking their time.

Barca wanted to know first-hand Ajax's intentions. They are trying to sell Neto for around 20-25 million euros and are looking for a substitute. If they can't get him they will likely look at Inaki Pena, the B team goalkeeper, as Marc-Andre ter Stegen's back-up.
