Igor Gomes is one of the new young talents in Brazilian football
Barcelona and Real Madrid are once again fixed on the same objective, signing Igor Gomes, the latest starlet coming from Brazilian football. He’s been labelled the new Kaka.
At 21, the young midfielder seems willing to make the jump to Europe. He’s good on the ball and at getting into the box, hence the comparisons. AS say that Madrid want him, while beIN Sports say that Barcelona are following him.
Gomes arrived at Sao Paulo in 2018, playing 44 games and scoring five goals. He’s played for Brazil U20 and U23 sides. Kaka himself agrees that Gomes has a similar game but added “comparing him to me is a pressure that he doesn’t deserve.”
