Various coaches have been linked with Camp Nou but the club have faith in Koeman

The new Barcelona board will be officially inducted in the coming days and will begin to make decisions regarding the club's future.

It's clear there will be changes to revitalise the club, but there's consensus over the managerial position: Ronald Koeman will continue save a collapse between now and the end of the season.

The idea is that the Dutch coach leads the new project and next season will dictate his long-term future. If Koeman gets results, he will get longer, if he doesn't, an alternative solution will be sought. But the confidence in the coach, as of today, is total.

Improvements

Koeman was appointed on a two-year deal by Josep Maria Bartomeu. He arrived on the back of a disastrous season and didn't feat making big decisions. He has overseen a re-modeling of the squad and is convinced that more needs to be done to take Barça back to the top.

He struggled at first, with four defeats in 10 league games, but it's clear that the team has grown in recent weeks and Barça have offered their best football of recent years with him in charge.

On one hand, he's' improved results in a difficult season with a lot of noise off the pitch. Barça are alive in La Liga, into the Copa del Rey final and managed to restore some pride in exiting the Champions League to Paris Saint-Germain. He's restored hope to supporters after a tough period. And that's not easy.

And on the other hand, he's achieved that with bravery and backing youngsters. He's not shied away from choosing players with little or no top-level experience, such as Pedri and Ronald Araujo. His relationship with them and the cracks of the team is very good. He's united the dressing room and the sensations are good.

His relationship with Leo Messi is very good and the Argentine's always spoke well of him. They've been honest with each other and that's valued by the players. The squad's always been with Koeman, even in difficult times.

Rivals for the job

In recent months, many coaches have been offered to Barça. It's clear that when the electoral campaign began, Koeman's position was different to what it is now. There were doubts about the team, but he's been able to weather that storm.

There are still constant rumours, from Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) to Julian Nagelsmann (Leipzig), but there have been negotiations with no one. There's complete confidence in Koeman. In the future, we will see, but the hope is that Koeman can fulfill his contract and, if an extension comes along, it should mean things have gone well for Barça.
