The Basque side have slapped a 50 million price tag on the Brazilian

Barcelona, if La Liga allows then, will strengthen Quique Setien's squad with the arrival of another forward. Ousmane Dembele will be out for six months, the club announced on Tuesday after he underwent successful surgery in Finland. The sporting commission has looked into various options. One of them is Real Sociedad's Willian Jose. However, his arrival is all but ruled out due to the tough conditions the Basque side have laid on the table.

Barça have had several conversations with La Real to sound out the possibility of a deal for the striker. The president of La Real, Jokin Aperribay, has translated to the Catalans that they would sell for 50 million euros. Willian Jose's clause is 70 million and he's only part-owned. La Real have 70 percent of his rights and the Stellar Group have the other 30 percent. He has a contract in San Sebastian until 2024.

La Real coach Imanol Alguacil also feels it would be inconvenient to lose the Brazilian. He's told his president that Willian Jose is an important player and he's counting on him as his side competes for the Copa del Rey and a Champions League spot in La Liga. They, therefore, agreed that he would only be allowed to leave if the 50 million price tag was hit. The player was close to leaving in January, with Premier League side Tottenham keen, but stayed in the end.
