The Premier League has four teams in the quarter finals of the Champions League but the last time that happened, Barça won the treble

FC Barcelona are in the quarter finals of the Champions League after knocking out Lyon last night. On Friday, Barça will discover who their next opponent will be and the most likely outcome is facing off against a side from the Premier League. There are four representatives from England's top division and that might actually give Barça supporters even more reason to be hopeful.

Liverpool, Juventus, Porto, Tottenham, Ajax, Manchester City and Manchester United make up the other seven spots in the competition.

Barcelona have already faced Tottenham in this season's tournament in the group stage. However, the fact there's a strong group of English sides at this stage worked out well for Barcelona the last time that happened.

Back in the 2008/09 season Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United made the quarter finals. Yet in that season FC Barcelona, under the leadership of Pep Guardiola, won the treble: the Champions League, LaLiga and the Copa del Rey.
