The idea is to have the player by next weekend when they face Eibar at Campers

Barcelona are working on their emergency signing to replace the stricken Ousmane Dembele and join Leo Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati. The player won't be here by Saturday when they play Getafe but Barca want him in by next weekend, when they host Eibar.

The options are Angel Rodriguez at Getafe and Lucas Perez of Alaves. Loren Moron of Real Betis, and Willian Jose of Real Sociedad, were wanted but will be too expensive.

The plan for the signing is to help the other forwards rest to stay fit for key games and Champions League matches. With Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele out, Carles Perez sold, Quique Setien needs a fourth forward to bear some of the load. A lot of games are coming.
