Auction starting for Brazilian starlet and Barca target Vitor Roque
The young forward's future will be in Europe and he is ready to take the leap
Vitor Roque's future lies in Europe. The Brazilian striker's contract with Athletico Paranaense expires in 2027, but he is ready to make the leap to the Old Continent. Several top clubs have shown interest in him, including Barça, but the Blaugrana are not alone in their pursuit.
As he posted on his personal Instagram account, Vitor Roque's father, Juvenal Ferreira, travelled to London today. Despite Barça's interest, the player's entourage does not want to ignore other offers from the Premier League, where Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the promising youngster.
A few days ago, Juvenal Ferreira was in Paris, where he may also have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain emissaries. Incidentally, Vitor Roque's father's tour will also include a visit to Barcelona at the end of the week.
At the age of 18, Roque is set to be one of the top strikers of the next decade. He scored six goals in the South American U20 championship and also provided three assists in the quarter-finals of the Campeonato Paranaense against Sao-Joseense.
