Barcelona have found an unexpected ally in their bid to attempt Atletico Madrid's Theo Hernandez to reject Real Madrid's offer in favour of a move to Camp Nou.
Rafa Benitez's 2016 sacking from Madrid could be one of the things which tips the scales in Barça's favour.
French full-back Hernandez's agent, Manuel García Quilón, does not have good memories of the treatement dished out to employees by Madrid president Florentino Perez.
According to Diario AS, Quilón hasn't forgotten the way his client Benitez was treated and for that reason would prefer Theo to move to Barça over Real.
It's not the only factor in Barça's favour. Atletico, who own the on-loan Alaves youngster, have the players rights and are also keen not to lose him to their cross city rival.
The Rojiblanco will not make things easy for Madrid in their bid for Theo -- who has a 24 million euro release clause -- but would be willing to discuss a deal with Barça, although they won't drop the price.
