According to AS, Barça are showing an interest in Getafe's Uruguayan midfielder

Barcelona are still trying to finalise deals, both 'ins' and 'outs', before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August. According to Madrid-based newspaper 'AS', they have registered an interest in signing Getafe's Uruguayan midfielder Mauro Arambarri on loan.

According to the report, Arambarri has been requested specifically by Barcelona's technical secretary Ramón Planes, who signed him for Getafe in his previous job. The player started Getafe's first game of the season away to Valencia.

So far this window, Arambarri has been regularly linked with a move to Valencia to team up with former coach José Bordalás. Besides Valencia, he has also been linked with Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla and Manchester United in the current window.

Getafé's president Ángel Torres has insisted that he is not willing to negotiate a transfer, and that any club wishing to purchase the player would need to stump up the amount corresponding to his release clause - 25 million euros.
