The Chilean midfielder missed the Levante match but expects to feature against Athletic on Thursday
Arturo Vidal continues his recovery work after missing the most recent match against Levante due to feeling discomfort. However, the Chilean is hopeful that he'll be available for the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Athletic Club on Thursday.
Despite missing the last three training sessions with the first team, Vidal has worked tirelessly in the gym to ensure he's back ahead of him. The midfielder believes he should be ready to take part in Wednesday's sessions ahead of the Copa match.
Vidal offers something different and is someone Quique Setien could turn to as the matches begin to come thick and fast. The Chilean is particularly important for away matches. He offers more muscle and steel in the centre of the pitch than anyone else in the squad.
