Arthur's house was broken into by machete-wielding thugs last night

According to 'El Taquígrafo', two people broke into the Brazilian's house as Barça were taking on Liverpool

Yesterday wasn't a great day for Arthur. In fact, it was probably one of the worst since he joined FC Barcelona. He was on the bench against Liverpool and didn't even come on in the second half. However, according to 'El Taquígrafo', two people wearing hoodies broke into his house whilst the Champions League match was taking place.

The two thieves took advantage of the midfielder being out of his home to attack. They got away with jewellery and a rolex after threatening Arthur's brother, who was watching the match in his brother's house.

They came through an outside window. Inside they threatened to kill Arthur's brother and held a screwdriver to his neck. Now the Barcelona police force, Mossos d'Esquadra, are working to identify the two assailants.

Arthur was a surprise exclusion in Valverde's starting lineup. Arturo Vidal came into the XI instead and was one of the best players on the pitch.
