It's hard to play when you know the club wants to sell you. Arthur went out to play for Barcelona at Camp Nou on Tuesday night in that situation, as his team beat Athletic Club 1-0. A few hours earlier Sky Sports said the Catalans had agreed a deal for his sale.
However Quique Setien picked him in midfield with Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal. Arthur was on the left of the three, allowed to be free to circulate the ball how he likes. However, Barcelona found it hard to find him. He moved well on the pitch but was unable to create danger and break down the visitors's well-positioned defence.
Barca needed a breath of fresh air in midfield and it came when Setien took him off. Riqui Puig added energy and vibrancy in the middle and it helped Barcelona get the three points.
