Reports in England say Barça could return for Aubameyang following Rodrigo collapse

Arsenal continue to wait for a Barcelona move for their striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to The Sun, and despite their desire to keep hold of the Gabon international, they have put a price on his head: 50 million pounds (around 60 million euros).

Aubameyang, 30, has a contract with Arsenal until 2021. For that reason, in 18 months he could potentially walk away for free. The London club do not want that to happen but so far have been unable to get him to sign a new deal.

The Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has already said that he doesn't want Aubameyang to leave. However, he's aware of the problems they face in keeping hold of him if they don't get back in the Champions League. Right now, that's looking unlikely as they sit 10th in the Premier League.

Aubameyang arrived at Arsenal in 2018 with the aim of winning titles and competing in Europe, as he did at his previous club, Borussia Dortmund. However, that has not been the case.

Reports in England now say that, following the breakdown of talks for Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno, Barça will turn to Aubameyang again.
