Arsenal want to sign Philippe Coutinho for next season. A loan deal has been suggested but now Arsenal feel they might have an offer Barça can't refuse. They want to swap the Brazilian for Matteo Guendouzi, their 21-year-old French midfielder.
Guendouzi has made 34 appearances for Arsenal this season and is valued at around €40m in the current market. He's already been capped by his country and has been one of Arsenal's most impressive players ever since he broke into the first team.
Barça want €80m for Coutinho which is why loan deals are being suggested more than transfers. However, Arsenal are hoping they can tempt the Catalan giants into a swap deal.
According to the 'Daily Mail', Inter Milan were also interested in Guendouzi but have since walked away from a deal.
Guendouzi lost his place in the Arsenal team after falling out with Arteta and is desperate for a fresh start elsewhere. Barça are interested but would much rather receive cash for Coutinho in order to fund moves for higher priority targets.
