The club will have four centre backs for next season but might be tempted in a trade for Gabriel
Barcelona are designing their squad for next season and plenty of operations are advanced and open. They are hoping to sell Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet, leaving space for a left-footed centre-back.
Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia will stay, while Andreas Christensen is coming from Chelsea. There isn’t likely to be more signingsi n this area unless there’s an interesting option on the market - one of which is Arsenal defender Gabriel. Despite his youth he’s liked a lot in Europe by many coaches.
Arsenal need to make various signing to shake up the squad and don’t have a lot of money. They might go for trades and are looking at Neto and Memphis at Barcelona and maybe even Riqui Puig. There have been talks but no agreements and Barcelona think that if something could be reached, Gabriel would be the most interesting option at Arsenal from their perspective.
