Arsenal ask about Neto, Aubameyang dreams return
The Gunners are interested in Barca's back up after Leno's injury
The daydream of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining Barcelona is alive again. It's still improbable but less today than yesterday. The Gabon forward likes Barcelona and he is the Plan B if Lautaro Martinez does not join. And SPORT have learned that Arsenal asked about Neto in recent hours.
Bernd Leno suffered a bad knee injury against Brighton and will be out for around six months according to reports, which means Mikel Arteta needs a replacement.
Arsenal are looking at Neto, Barca's back-up stopper. His agent Kia Joorabchian has very good links with the Gunners. The idea would be a loan with an option to buy but Barca don't like that. They would accept 20m euros as a transfer fee.
Barca's interest in Aubameyang could help ease a deal. The Sun claim Joe Hart, at Burnley, is another option for Arsenal.
