The Italian club has various candidates to replace Massimiliano Mirabelli

Change is in the air at AC Milan and it could affect Barcelona: the Italian club is thinking about changing its sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli and one of the candidates to take his place is Ariedo Braida, international adviser to Barcelona's sporting directors.

After a disappointing season (Milan are seventh in Serie A and were knocked out of the Europa League by Arsenal), the Rossoneri are obliged to shake up their sporting direction and one of the main candidates to take up the role is Braida, according to respected Italian newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'.

The Italian newspaper,  which points out that Braida was part of Milan''s golden age, also points to other candidates such as Walter Sabatini, formerly of Inter, or Cristiano Giuntoli, from Napoli's 'miracle team'.

They are also talking about Michael Emenalo,, formerly of Chelsea, and Andrea Berta, responsible for professional football at Atletico Madrid.
