Antoine Griezmann was off target against Real Valladolid
The Frenchman failed in front of goal in the clash at the Zorilla
It was not Antoine Griezmann's afternoon at the Jose Zorrilla. The Frenchman, back in Quique Setien's side was picked ahead of Luis Suarez in attack but he was not at his finest in front of goal.
Right after Arturo Vidal's goal, Nelson Semedo set up Griezmann but he failed with his right-foot shot, a chance which could have doubled Barca's lead and effectively killed the game.
Minutes before the first goal he also took a bad decision, with Messi calling for the ball but Griezmann slowing the play which ended up with nothing happening.
Despite his errors, Barca were winning 1-0 at the break. Messi set up Vidal to equal Xavi's record of 20 assists within a single season.
