Antoine Griezmann reveals his future after Barcelona
The French forward has set his sights on a move to the west
Antoine Griezmann spoke about his future after his Barcelona contract expires in 2024. He’s currently with the French national team, where he gave an interview to newspaper Le Figaro.
“My contract with Barca goes until June 2024 and after that I think it will be the right moment to go to the USA.”
In the interview he revealed why. “I love that country, that culture, the NBA and the desire to discover guides me. I would like to end my career there.”
He does not see it as retirement, but rather he would go with the ambition “to be good on the pitch and win the MLS.”
This season Griezmann has scored 18 goals and given 12 assists in 44 games, better than his first season - 15 goals and four assists in 44 games.
