Antoine Griezmann is still cursed in front of goal
The French striker hit the post in the first half and fired wide in the second
If one looks at this match, one wonders how Barcelona only scored twice. And beyond Barca's domination and good football, how it's possible Antoine Griezmann is so cursed in front of goal.
The Frenchman has only scored one goal in his last 18 Barcelona games. And not given a single assist. For a forward like him, that is not acceptable.
However he certainly tried. He struck the post early on against Juventus and was active and linked well with Leo Messi. He looked for combinations, wall passes, spaces and set up the forward on occasion.
In the second half Griezmann sent an effort wide of the far post, inches wide, but it was another big chance. The performance, though, was good.
Koeman brought him off at the death for Junior Firpo and congratulated him on the sideline. He deserved it.
