Ansu Fati has published, through his official Instagram account, a message to the fans after his recent injury. The player explained he is “living the worst part of football” but at the same time “will not give up”. He also thanked the fans of the support he has received in recent days.
Ansu went off injured in extra-time in the Copa del Rey defeat by Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames, with his hamstring injury relapsing. He will need to treat it and be sidelined for around two months. He will decide on Monday if he will take surgery on it or try to treat it conservatively.
