Ansu Fati takes on Vidal's No.22 shirt as release clause rises to €400m
The youngster has been officially promoted to Barcelona's first team for the 20-21 season
FC Barcelona have confirmed that Ansu Fati will take on the No.22 shirt as he's promoted to the first team officially, which also means his release clause will rise to €400 million.
Last season Ansu, 17, wore the No.31 shirt as he was registered with the B team. Now, as a senior play, he will inherit the shirt left vacant by Arturo Vidal, who's joined Inter Milan.
Ansu becomes the 14th Barça player to wear the No.22 since personalised shirt numbers were in introduced in Spain for the 1995-96 seasons.
Curiously, the first Barça player to wear the No.22 was the goalkeeper Julen Lopetegui, the current Sevilla coach and former boss of the Spanish national team and Real Madrid.
