Ansu Fati setting his sights on Cadiz game for Barça injury return

The young forward has been out with a hamstring injury since January

Ansu Fati’s reappearance is drawing closer. He is training well and the visit of Cadiz to Camp Nou on April 18th is marked as a potential return date.

After suffering a hamstring injury against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey, the young forward has been out since January.

He decided to avoid surgery and went to Madrid to work with Joaquin Juan, a reputed physio there who has helped Cristiano Ronaldo and Pau Gasol among others.

He returned to Barcelona on March 25 and started training on March 28.

Ansu Fati is responding well to the demands and if he keeps recovering at this rate he is expected to be on the bench against Cadiz.

Xavi says he will take no risks with the player who has gone for nearly a year and a half without playing, bar a handful of matches between injuries.

The plan is between the games against Cadiz, Real Sociedad and Rayo Vallecano, he gets around 10 minutes in each game, adding up to half an hour of play time.

The Blaugrana have gone 13 games without losing and recorded seven wins in that run, so there is no rush to fling him back into the side.
