Ansu Fati returns to Barça training ahead of Joan Gamper Trophy
The Spain international has been absent for the last week due to a minor hip problem
FC Barcelona trained on Friday ahead of the Joan Gamper Trophy game against Elche at Camp Nou this weekend (Saturday, 19h local time).
Ansu Fati returned to training after recovering from a hip problem and could get his first minutes of preseason against Elche in what will be Ronald Koeman's first match in the Camp Nou dugout -- the previous two friendlies have been played at the Johan Cruyff stadium.
Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez were also involved in Friday's session as they continue to seek moves away from the club. Neither were involved in wins against Gimnastic and Girona this week.
Koeman started the session with some circuit training -- in place of the usual rondos -- as Barça step up their fitness ahead of the start of the new season.
Saturday's final friendly is likely to see Camp Nou debuts for Francisco Trincao and Pedri, while fellow new signing Miralem Pjanic, who started preseason late after contracting coronavirus, could also be involved.
