The young forward is in Madrid at present working with a prestigious physio

Ansu Fati will return to Barcelona next week after the international break to take on the final straight of his injury recovery, a ruptured hamstring that occurred at the San Makes in the Copa del Rey.

The forward had decided to go to Madrid to heal under the hands of prestigious physio Joaquin Juan, who has also worked with Pau Gasol and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ansu has been there for two months working with double morning and afternoon sessions to get back as soon as he can.

The youngster works with elastic bands, weights and the static bicycle, working to reinforce the muscles. These are combined with sessions in regenerative machines and stem cell treatment to help seal the scar.

Ansu will keep working individually until his recovery is complete when back at Barcelona. The aim is to avoid a new relapse.

He will likely start after the Spain-Iceland game on Tuesday.

The initial recovery plan thought he might be back for the game against Sevilla on Sunday April 3, although that seems too soon at present.
