At 17 years and 40 days the forward became the competition's youngest ever scorer

Ansu Fati became, at 17 years and 40 days, the youngest ever goalscorer in the Champions League. He netted the second as Barca won 2-1 at the San Siro against Inter Milan.

The recently nationalised Spaniard scored in the 87th minute, shortly after coming on, with a low drive.

Ansu takes the record from Peter Ofori-Quaye, of Olympiacos, who scored against Rosenborg on October 1, 1997 - at 17 years and 195 days old.
