Luis de la Fuente has named his initial squad for the matches against the Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan

Despite not featuring as much under Quique Setien in recent matches, Ansu Fati has been included in Spain's U21s preliminary squad list. Luis de la Fuente's side will face the Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan in Euro 2021 qualifiers. Fati made his debut last October against Montenegro before later featuring against Macedonia. He didn't play against Israel.

A total of 49 players have been included in the squad list, so many are going to miss the cut. Riqui Puig is yet to make his debut for the U21 side and he is joined by Iñaki Peña, Monchu and Jorge Cuenca from Barça B.

Some of the key names on there with Barça roots are Eric García (Manchester City), Dani Olmo (Leipzig), Juan Miranda (Schalke), Sergio Gómez (Huesca), Abel Ruiz (Braga), Aleñá (Betis), Oriol Busquets (Twente) and Cucurella (Getafe). Pedri, who belongs to Barça but is out on loan with Las Palmas, is also on the list.
