Ansu & Carles Perez won't drop down to Barça B for now - Valverde

The two forwards are preparing for Tuesday's game vs. Valladolid with the first team

Ernesto Valverde spoke to the press on Monday ahead of Tuesday's La Liga game against Real Valladolid at Camp Nou. Among the many questions he faced was one about Ansu Fati and Carles Perez.

Both young forwards featured regularly early in the season but they have found themselves out of the side since Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele returned from knocks.

However, Valverde says there are no immediate plans to send them down to the B team: "They are in the first team dynamic and that's the idea in principle."

The Barça coach did leave the door open to dropping down in the future, though: "They have registrations with the B team and it's possible could play for them at some point, but we will see .. As of today, they are part of the first team dynamic."

Perez's case is special. There's a clause in his contract which stipulates if he plays in one and a half more games, or 45 minutes in three different games, he will be registered to the first team permanently.
