Angry Madrid winger Marco Asensio willing to move to Barca
The forward was not used by Ancelotti in the goalless draw with Real Betis
Marco Asensio's future at Madrid is in danger. Both the player and his entourage are disappointed with Carlo Ancelotti's recent sporting decisions, which have relegated him to ostracism and the player is seriously rethinking his future.
Asensio is no longer even a driving force in the team and there are clubs who are asking for him if he ends up leaving on a free transfer. The Spanish international is willing to listen to Barça, but for now the Blaugrana have not made a move.
Just when it seemed that Asensio's renewal by Madrid was on track, the player has begun to lose prominence in an alarming way and his situation exploded in the match against Betis at the Benito Villamarín.
Ancelotti had him warming up for more than half an hour before finally not giving him a chance. The Italian coach even had to explain this strange situation at the end of the game to the obvious anger of the player. For now there is no agreement on his continuity and relations have become very tense.
Asensio's future has attracted the attention of several European teams in recent weeks.
Milan and Arsenal have spoken to his entourage and would be willing to bid for the player, while Barça are fully informed of everything that is happening with his negotiations with Madrid. For now, neither of the two parties have made a step forward but the Blaugrana already know that Asensio would be willing to listen to an offer.
Barca see Asensio as a great market opportunity, but will not interfere in his future with Madrid. In the event that the two sides end up breaking up, as looks likely to happen, the Blaugrana will decide if he is a viable signing for the next project.
Asensio is very much liked by the Blaugrana coaching staff, but there are other priorities in planning first, unless there is an unexpected departure.
