Andres Iniesta says "Messi is a blessing for Barcelona"
The Barça captain is delighted to play with the Argentine
Andres Iniesta was passed fit and named in Barcelona's side for the win against Chelsea. But when they were 2-0 up, he was taken off and replaced by Paulinho.
The midfielder explained after the game that "it's what we had spoken about and everything went really well -- it was worth the effort.
He added: "We have experience and we know that even at 2-0, they can score at any time and get back in the game, but the team responded wel, also in defence."
As for Lionel Messi, who scored twice in the 3-0 win, Iniesta said: "Messi is a player that makes the difference for us and he's a blessing for the club. I hope among us all we can get close to our objective, which is to win the Champions League.
"It's always special, it's always a huge motivation, but it's tough because one regular performance can knock you out of the competition. The challenge is to minimise our errors."
As for the applause given to Andre Gomes, the Barça captain finshed: "The key is that we all pull in the same direction. The players need the fans and the fans need us to win and fight for everything."
