The Barcelona captaon has received a huge offer and is thinking about it

It could be one of the biggest deals of the summer. Andres Iniesta has a formal offer on the table from Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian. It is a tempting offer and could reach 35 million euros per season, something which has the Barcelona skipper thinking about his future. Representatives from the Chinese club have come to Spain twice and started the base of the operation, but the player has not taken any decision yet. He will wait until the end of March to make his mind up, but the Chinese club is optimistic at the moment.

Contact with Iniesta started at the end of December and there was a first meeting early in January. Iniesta made it clear that he would only leave in the summer and not in the winter window. In the second meeting, Tianjin put this number on the table.

Iniesta is conscious he will never get a better offer. It is probably his last and only chance to become one of the best paid players on the planet, but he has doubts. He's having a great season and feels good. When he renewed his deal he knew that it would be his last with Barcelona. But despite Philippe Coutinho arriving, he's still first choice and Ernesto Valverde has made it clear he counts on him in tricky games. His final decision will depend on how the season goes.

Barcelona are conscious of the movements of Chinese football and know it will be tricky to keep Iniesta. They would not stop any player leaving - as with Xavi Hernandez - and will respect his decision because of his immaculate history with the club.

Iniesta has received interest from the MLS and Arabic football but is only thinking about going to China or staying with Barca. Furthermore he would only go to Tianjin, who have shown a special interest in him and done everything possible from the first instant to seduce him. For Tianjin, Iniesta would be an immediate icon. Iniesta will take his decision before playing the Russia World Cup, so he can focus on Spain.
