All 37 of the La Liga stadiums where Lionel Messi has found the net
There are only five grounds where the Argentine has failed to score
Lionel Messi traveled to Paris on Monday to receive his sixth Ballon d'Or after another match-winning performance in Barcelona's win against Atletico Madrid on Monday.
Messi scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute as the Spanish champions moved back to the top of La Liga. The Argentine, meanwhile, moved within one goal of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema in the Pichichi (the Frenchman has 10 goals).
It was also Messi's first league goal in three attempts at Atletico's new Wanda Metropolitano home. It means he has now scored at all 20 of the stadiums currently in use in La Liga.
In total, he has now scored at 37 different top-flight stadiums if we include the teams that are no longer in Spain's Primera Division.
Obviously Camp Nou (246 goals) is where he has scored most of his league goals, but he has also scored 182 goals away from home in his tally of 429 La Liga goals.
Following Camp Nou is Deportivo La Coruña's Riazor, where he has scored 13 times. Then comes Sevilla's Sánchez Pizjuán (12) and Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu (11).
However, he has played at 42 grounds, which means there are five where he has failed to score. If any of those teams get promoted again, watch out...
