There aren't any Barça players named in Luis de la Fuente's squad for this month's tournament

There's no place for Carles Aleñá or Marc Cucurella in Spain's U21 squad for the Euros which take place in Italy and San Marino between the 16th and 39th June.

Both players were dropped from the final squad by Luis de la Fuente and this means there will be no Barça representatives for 'La Roja'. Cucurella was perhaps the least likely of the two to be selected as there are four strong options at full back already: Martín Aguirregabiria, Pedro Porro, Junior Firpo and Aarón Martín.

There were even question marks over Aleña's inclusion due to how little he's played for the first team until recently. The Barça midfielder has forced his way into the reckoning under Valverde, producing fine performances as well, but ultimately didn't make the final list.

Former La Masia star Dani Olmo does make the squad. Ceballos, Oyarzabal and Fornals are perhaps the most recognised names in the squad.
