Alemany's revealing comments on Dembele's Barcelona future

The sporting director has not been happy with the manner of the negotiations

Ousmane Dembele is out of contract with Barcelona on June 30 and has still not signed a new deal with the club despite their attempts to get him to extend.

Sporting director Mateu Alemany spoke about the situation before Sunday's game against Villarreal and was sceptical about the Frenchman's chances of staying at Camp Nou.

"Dembele's future is known (only) by him and his agents," Alemany told Movistar.

"I have my own personal opinion on this but it's not relevant. There is now news, the same as the last six or seven months."

Alemany was visibly disillusioned with the way the player and his camp have managed the whole situation.

In fact, he even said that "with Dembele's agent there are no negotiations at the moment," despite meeting with Moussa Sissoko in Morocco and Barcelona recently.

On Gavi's renewal, he added: "There have been talks with his agent for a while and both want to stay. We have sort out the salary situation at Barça."
