The Dutch side do not want to lose their top stopper
Andre Onana has not stopped growing at Ajax, where at 24 years old he is adored by the fans and the clear No 1. The stopper, whose contract expires on June 30, 2022. Barcelona and Chelsea are the front-runners for his signature this summer but Marc Overmars, Ajax's sporting director, is keen to stop that happening.
Per the Telegraaf, he has presented Onana with a succulent renewal offer. He would get a fat wage rise. Ajax are hoping to convince the keeper he can keep improving there. Onana used to play for Barca before moving to Ajax. However, Marc-Andre ter Stegen's untouchable status means it's hard for Onana to see a way to first team action with the Catalans.
