The centre-back spoke about his future after receiving the Golden Boy award

Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt, who's wanted by Europe's biggest clubs, including Barcelona, tried to dodge questions about his future at the Golden Boy gala -- the award given by Tuttosport to Europe's best young player,

Juventus are also interested in the centre-back but the Dutch international was unwilling to divulge what could happen in the summer.

"At the end of the season I will consider if the moment's come to take a step forward," he said. "I am only focused on Ajax, for anything else, you habe to ask my agent Raiola or my representatives."

De Ligt has a contract with Ajax until 2021, but the Dutch club are ready to sell him next summer.

The defender spoke with Sky Sports after the gala, adding: "It's an important step forward for a defender to win this award. I am really happy to be the first defender to win it and now I hope to have a good game against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

"It's a difficult game, given we're playing the best team in the world. However, we will try to show the entire world are quality."

Asked about Juve's interest and his preferences, De Ligt said: "I'm not thinking about the transfer market at the moment. Italy's a great country to play football in, but at the moment I am focused on the present."
