After Valencia failed to seal the deal, Rafinha is joining Fenerbahce

According to 'O'Jogo', the Brazilian midfielder is on the verge of joining the Turkish giants

Portuguese newspaper 'O Jogo' claim that sources close to Rafinha have informed them that he's on the verge of joining Turkish side Fenerbahce. The midfielder was expected to sign for Valencia but, despite agreeing on personal terms, the two clubs couldn't find a middle ground over the transfer fee.

Rafinha came on in Barça's opener against Athletic Club as he replaced the injured Luis Suarez. The midfielder has been one of the best performers throughout preseason but didn't disappoint in Bilbao either. Yet with him refusing to pen a new deal at the Camp Nou, Barça are forced to cash in now.

According to the newspaper, the deal is very close to being completed and the player's agent is already in Istanbul ready to finalise matters. It would be a major surprise to see Rafinha drop down to a lesser-known league when you consider the talent he possesses.
